Voltaat is an e-commerce brand and edtech platform making robotics and 3D printing simple, creative, and approachable for students across the MENA region.
From startup grit to scalable growth
Voltaat had built something powerful. They sold affordable robotics and 3D printing kits that help young learners build real-world skills at home and in school. But their brand and platform didn’t yet reflect that energy. Their visual identity felt minimal and sleek, reflecting the state-of-the art nature of the technology, but making it feel slightly intimidating, particularly with no prior electronics knowledge.
As Voltaat prepared to scale, they needed a complete brand transformation: one that looked credible, felt relatable, and connected emotionally with their users.
Designing connection through clarity
Our goal was to make make tech education feel human, playful, and empowering. We began by mapping the entire user journey, from a student’s first interaction with a Voltaat kit to their learning experience on the platform.
We reimagined the visual identity, product packaging, and educational platform (Voltaat Learn) to create a cohesive brand experience. Every element was chosen to evoke excitement and confidence, a sense that “you can do this.” We also integrated Arabic alongside English, making the content more accessible while celebrating the region’s identity.
Blending design and engineering
Our work extended beyond brand visuals. To orient the brand in the best position to scale, we analyzed Voltaat’s workflows and built custom internal software to improve inventory management and process speed, coded entirely in Python. By combining design thinking with engineering precision, we created systems that worked as beautifully as they looked.
Bringing learning to life
The new brand identity introduced bold colors, cultural motifs, and friendly typography that resonated with young creators. The packaging became a statement piece. It was so striking that students began repurposing it in universities and makerspaces.
Following the project, Voltaat raised a second funding round, expanded partnerships with schools and universities, boosted brand visibility through distinctive packaging, and increased conversions through more accessible content. Additionally, they streamlined internal operations with custom-built internal software.
